The language of Silence

I waited, patiently - as time ticked by, (1:11 PM)
Driven by intellect - attempt to find words
Amidst the buzz, the confusion - the noise
Earnest to absorb, hear what you - had to say

The seconds gave way to long minutes
Weariness began to take hold, oblivious
Perked up my ears, filtering clear sounds
I quest your voice, amidst the resonance

Time? I smile, I know now how long I did wait,
A soft sad smile breaks across my jaded face...
I see now - that you speak naught, and left was I
To dance to your tune, that you play soft in silence (1:19PM)
