Fascade

One moment was I - right by your side
Oblivious to all - just watching you smile
Your voice formed words, I cared not what
For all I could feel was your warmth beside

Fore I knew time passed, I was seated in the noise
My hitherto active mind rendered so eerily calm
Even the jerk from the takeoff didn't shake me right
I was now deaf to the sound, Blind from my sight

I looked down now, betwixt the soaring skies
Above vibrant clouds, beauty holding back lies
Then - my heart lurched, my mouth a soft sigh
I was sucked back from vacuum, tumbled the sounds

My mind tries to tell me - its but a short relapse
But my heart holds on - fast in its sweaty clasp
To the last soft echoes of your warm quaint voice
Unable to set you free, to let out of grasp

But aye, I know it is but a solemn little trait
Of the muddled heart to never ever lose faith
And yes I know-I 'll wait with the hope inside
For the moment when you'll be back by my side
